Something in the Air...

There’s something about the end of a season—or in my case, the end of my time in a city—that makes you stop and soak in every little detail. Omaha has been so much more than a place to live; it’s been a community that embraced me, challenged me, and gave me some of the best memories.

As we step into fall, one thing’s for sure—it’s Husker football time. Whether you’re watching from the stadium, a sports bar, or your couch, the energy is unmatched. Here’s the 2025 Husker Football Schedule so you can plan ahead:

But fall in Omaha is about more than football—it’s about flavor. 🍨 That’s why I’m so excited to roll out my upcoming Best Treats in Omaha series! I’ll be featuring some of the sweetest spots in the city, from decadent cupcakes to the most Instagram-worthy ice cream cones. Consider it my love letter to Omaha’s dessert scene.

Of course, this time of year also means back to school, and that always brings me back to community. One organization I deeply admire is Release Inc—they walk alongside Omaha’s youth, providing mentorship, resources, and encouragement to help them thrive. If you’ve been wanting to get involved, they’re a great place to start. Whether you can give your time, skills, or simply share their story, it all matters.
