SWFL Eat’N’Insta Spotlight: Next Door at The Westin Cape Coral

There’s something magical about walking into a place where the vibe is elevated, the food is unforgettable, and the service makes you feel like you’re dining with friends. That’s exactly what we experienced at our very first Eat’N’Insta outing at Next Door, located inside the Westin in Cape Coral.

Every Tuesday, Next Door hosts Ladies Night—a pre-fix 3-course menu with a glass of wine included. (And let me just say, this is not your average ladies’ night!) From creative cocktails to handmade pastas, every detail had us savoring and smiling our way through the evening.

🍴 The Food Experience

Before we even started, the team surprised us with a delicate amuse bouche, paired perfectly with our drinks. It set the tone for what would become a night full of flavor and fun.

Appetizers & Starters:

• Caesar Salad (with fresh cracked pepper from the biggest pepper grinder I’ve ever seen—cue the laughter!)

• Blue Crab Corn Beignets that were crisp, flavorful, and absolutely addictive.

Main Course:

• Wagyu Bolognese – made with fresh, housemade pasta and rich, savory sauce that melted in your mouth.

Dessert & More:

• House-made cake of the day (let’s be honest… we’re still dreaming about it).

• A surprise sip of limoncello to finish the evening with a bright, refreshing note.

🍹 Drinks That Delight

Next Door doesn’t just serve drinks, they craft experiences in a glass.

• Prickly Pear Mocktail (fresh, fruity, and oh-so-refreshing)

• Spicy Margarita (unique, bold, and a little extra kick of heat!)

• Glass of Red Wine with dinner

• Espressotini (dessert in a glass!)

• Chai-tini Mocktail (comforting, creamy, and unforgettable)

The ambiance is intimate and warm but modern and comfortable, perfect for a girls’ night out, a date night, or even a solo evening to treat yourself. The sunset marina view is so peaceful. The owners—a husband and wife chef duo—are hands-on and passionate, with one of them stopping by to check in and share more about their story. (Fun fact: they’re expecting baby boy #2—congratulations are definitely in order!)

The service? Impeccable. These ladies were stars. Every detail was handled with care, from recommendations to pacing, and it made our evening flow seamlessly.

Personally, I was so glad to go to a place with a great girlfriend where we could talk and relax and just enjoy ourselves. No loud music, crowded spaces or subpar food inside these doors.
