Josette Giuffrida, DNP, FNP-C, owner of REFRESH Medical Spa & Wellness, has been in healthcare for over 25 years. She has practiced in the aesthetic area and medical spa field for over 10 years. She has continually updated her knowledge and skills in the medical aesthetic industry to offer her clients the most up to date and effective treatments. She enjoys helping men and women feel more confident in their appearance.
Josette is excited to continue on her journey in providing quality patient experiences and top of the line services and products. She enjoys all outdoor activities and spending time with her husband, Anthony, and two dogs!
Did you always want to be in or see yourself in the medspa/skincare space?
While I was working in primary care, I was also performing injectable services so it was an easy transition. However, I had to wait for the right time to go into Aesthetics fully. Timing is everything.
What is it about Refresh MedSpa that stands out in this industry?
Our comfortable, boutique atmosphere where our clients truly feel like friends and family.
How do you balance a family/work balance being an entrepreneur and having a life outside of work?
It is definitely hard but being able to delegate tasks and surrounding yourself with people you trust is key.
What is the part about your business that lights you up the most?
100% when people say thank you and that they feel amazing!
Do you have any advice/tips for women wanting to start their own business?
Community over competition! You have to make friends in your industry and your community. Ask others for help and don’t be too good to help anyone else.
What made you take the leap into entrepreneurship and starting Refresh MedSpa?
I was encouraged by a lot of great people that assured me that I would be successful. And again, timing is everything.
