1) Did you always want to be, or see yourself in the beauty/aesthetics space? 

I have been a wellness expert for over 12 years and a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2006. I see beauty and aesthetics as a logical extension of my work in wellness. 

2) What specifically about The Skin Clique sets your business apart in this industry?  

The Skin Clique was founded by Dr. Sarah Allen in 2018 as way to offer patients exceptional and unique aesthetic care in a safe environment while striving to empower women with flexible working solutions and professional opportunities. I support the mission of The Skin Clique, which is helping patients feel confident by providing convenient, affordable access to medical-grade treatments performed by board-certified experts all in the comfort of their own home. 

3) How do you manage work-life balance being an entrepreneur?

Scheduling is very important to my ability to maintain a work-life balance. Prioritizing my own self-care provides me with the ability to give my best self to my family and patients. 

4) What is the part about your business that lights you up the most?

I enjoy working with my patients to achieve their wellness goals! Each patient is unique and has their own journey. I really enjoy working on an individual level to aid my patients in achieving their goals.  

5) Do you have any advice/tips for women wanting to start their own business?

Believe in yourself. Spend time to clearly define your short and long terms goals - outlining what is needed in each step to achieve your desired goals. Keep your goals SMART - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-related. 

6) What made you take the leap into entrepreneurship and start this venture with The Skin Clique?

I sought this opportunity as a flexible way to care for patients while being present for my family.
