1) Did you always want to be, or see yourself getting into the beauty/makeup industry?
Yes. From a young age, I was drawn to beauty — not just the glam, but the confidence it gives. Working as a freelance makeup artist and later as a Store Manager at Sephora only deepened that love. I saw firsthand how transformative beauty could be — not just in appearance but in spirit. So yes, in many ways, I always saw myself in this space, but I didn’t always know it would become something as personal and purposeful as JRECEE Cosmetics.
2) What specifically about your offerings sets your business apart from others?
JRECEE Cosmetics is built on real-life experience, not just market trends. I created it for the everyday person — the beginner, the busy mom, the beauty lover who doesn’t have time (or the budget) for trial and error. Our products are vegan, cruelty-free, affordable, and easy to use. But what really sets us apart is the heart. Every formula, every name, every launch has intention behind it. I’m not just selling makeup — I’m teaching confidence, self-care, and self-love through beauty.

3) How do you manage work-life balance? Do you have any tips to share?
To be honest, some days I don’t — and that’s okay. I work over 50 hours a week in corporate sales management, I’m a mother of six, a wife, a freelance makeup artist, and I’m building JRECEE Cosmetics brick by brick. I cook 4–5 days a week, while trying to keep the house clean. I squeeze in workouts when I can. My tip is: stop aiming for perfection. Prioritize what matters that day, give yourself grace, and don’t let guilt weigh you down. Balance doesn’t mean equal time — it means intentional time.
4) What is the part about your professional life that lights you up the most?
It’s those messages from customers saying, “This product made me feel beautiful again,” or “I finally understand how to take care of my skin.” It’s seeing someone apply a JRECEE lippie and smile a little bigger. I live for those moments. They remind me why I stay up late packing orders, why I push through exhaustion. It’s knowing that my brand is empowering people — that’s what lights me up.

5) Do you have any advice for women wanting to take on something new?
Start scared, but start. Don’t wait for perfection, money, or validation. Your journey will be messy, exhausting, and sometimes lonely — but it’ll also be the most rewarding thing you ever do. Protect your vision. Surround yourself with people who believe in you. And never forget: you were created to create. There’s room for your dream at the table — even if you have to build your own.
6) What made you take the leap into entrepreneurship and owning a business?
Working at Sephora showed me a gap — too many women didn’t know what products worked for them, couldn’t afford trial-and-error skincare, or felt too intimidated to ask. I wanted to change that. I wanted to create something accessible, educational, and inclusive. So I took everything I knew from beauty, from being a mom, from managing a team — and I built JRECEE. It wasn’t just a leap. It was a calling. And I’m still jumping every single day.
