If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this stunning photo truly tells the story of my incredible Airbnb stay in the Outer Banks, specifically Rodanthe! I couldn't wait to share all the amazing details with you. Plus, the generous owner of this Airbnb is offering an exclusive discount code for bookings from March to September 2024 during the peak season. Don't miss out on this opportunity!
This year, we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday at her favorite place, the beach. And to add to the adventure, my dad had always dreamt of visiting Kitty Hawk, where the Wright Brothers made history with their first flight. It was a magical week of making memories with my loved ones.
The Outer Banks is a breathtaking destination with over 200 miles of coastline and 15 charming towns, making it the perfect spot for relaxation, exploration, or a mix of both.
We had an incredible time driving on the picturesque beaches of Corolla, where we witnessed the awe-inspiring sight of wild horses in their natural habitat. We also visited the Wright Brothers Museum, where we learned about their remarkable journey to achieve flight. From years of tinkering to overcoming critics and even living in a barn, their determination was truly inspiring. And of course, we couldn't resist our morning coffee walks on the beach and pier, indulging in delectable 5-star seafood, and savoring the astonishing East Coast sunsets. The Outer Banks truly offers something for everyone, and we made sure to experience it all!
For our stay, we chose Rodanthe, a tranquil town in the southern part of the Outer Banks, away from the hustle and bustle. As someone who values homemade healthy food, I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful welcome gift we received – homemade sourdough bread with oil and vinegar. It's these little touches that make all the difference, and they set the tone for our entire stay.
The Airbnb owners left no stone unturned in providing a memorable experience in their 4-bedroom home that comfortably sleeps 10 guests. The kitchen was fully stocked, the board game cupboard was filled with endless entertainment, and Netflix, with easy-to-find login details, was available for our enjoyment. We also had access to a hot tub and a screened-in porch, which added to the coziness and relaxation of our stay. And let's not forget the beds and pillows – they were so unbelievably comfortable. Both my dad and I are obsessed with getting a good night's sleep, and this Airbnb truly delivered.
Speaking of sleep, each night we easily drifted off to sleep in our cozy bedrooms, our hearts full from the quality time together and our bodies pleasantly tired from our adventures. And the best part? The Outer Banks has some of the darkest skies I've ever seen. The stars shone so brilliantly, it was a sight to behold. From the third deck of the Airbnb, we were able to enjoy amazing stargazing sessions. To our delight, on the first night, we even caught a glimpse of Elon Musk's Starlink satellites passing through the sky. This deck also provided incredible views of the beach during the day and a panoramic view of our charming beach town.
Ladies, if you're a fan of the movie "Nights in Rodanthe" starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane, you'll be thrilled to know that it was filmed right here on this beach and pier. Normally, parking at the pier costs $12 a day. However, the generous owners of the Airbnb purchased a year pass just for their guests. All we had to do was mention that we were staying at BreezyDays, and we had free entry every day. Talk about hospitality at its finest!
There is so much more I could share about this incredible stay. We truly felt at home for the week, and I want you to have the same experience. That's why the owner of this Airbnb has extended two special offers exclusively for you:
