Emiroze Creations: The Story Behind Her Permanent Jewelry
Have you ever gotten matching jewelry with someone special? For Rosie, getting permanent jewelry with her daughters became the inspiration for Emiroze Creations.
Today, she helps customers choose and customize pieces that reflect their style, celebrate their relationships, or hold a personal memory.
We caught up with Rosie to learn how she turned her love of creating into a family business, what a first visit looks like, and why some customer experiences stay with her long after the jewelry is finished.
How Rosie Started Emiroze Creations
Tell us a little about yourself and the story behind Emiroze Creations. What inspired you to start your business?
My name is Rosie. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Texas about 20 yrs ago. I have 3 beautiful children and enjoy spending time with them the most. About 4-5 years ago I went to an open house, and they had a permanent jewelry booth. Me and my daughters each got a piece of permanent jewelry.
We really enjoyed that we could have something together that would last us a long time. Fast forward, almost two years ago, I came across a webinar that offered info about permanent jewelry, and I jumped right in! I knew I wanted to do something for me, and different.
I’ve always enjoyed creating things and this was a new opportunity to do so. By the end of the seminar, I signed up for the course and bought the equipment. I was super excited about the new business adventure and all the possibilities.
The name Emiroze is inspired by all my children. At the beginning it was Emirose, for my daughters Roxy and Emily. The Rose part will also cover me. Years later we had a little addition to our family, Ezra, and that’s where the Z comes from.
The name Emiroze serves as reminder of what I love the most and the journey ahead.
What to Expect from a Permanent Jewelry Experience
For someone who has never experienced permanent jewelry before, what is it and what can they expect when they come to you?
Permanent jewelry is jewelry without a clasp. It is customized to each individual and welded to create a seamless finish.
When you come to us you can expect the best customer service; we don’t rush. We will walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have. We want you to feel comfortable and happy with your choice.
For us, this is an experience and more than jewelry; it is a memory created for yourself and with loved ones.
What do you love most about permanent jewelry, and what makes the experience special for your customers?
The connections made with everyone; the stories told, and the happy faces. Lots of our customers come looking for a piece that reminds them of something or someone.
They look forward to having a matching set with their besties, boyfriend or girlfriend, mom or dad, or any other special person.
What types of jewelry, styles, or customization options do you offer through Emiroze Creations?
We offer chains in gold-filled, sterling silver, and steel. Any of our chains can be made into a bracelet, anklet, necklace, ring, hand chain, belly chain, foot chain, and any other ideas you may have.
The chain gets customized to your size and liking before it gets welded.
Permanent jewelry is often connected to special moments, friendships, relationships, and milestones. Is there a customer experience or story that has been especially memorable for you?
A lady asked me if I could resize her bracelets. She said one was hers and one was her daughter’s. They had gotten matching bracelets years ago, but the bracelets had become so big that they slipped right off.
She said her daughter had lost her bracelet, and she had found it, so she was wearing it. She didn’t say much and was very hesitant about changing anything or using new jump rings. I normally use my own when resizing, but seeing how protective she was, I said okay. During the process, she started crying, and I asked if she was okay or if I had done something wrong.
Her husband said, “No, it’s not you. It’s okay.” That’s when I understood that she had lost her daughter and those bracelets meant the world to her. She didn’t have to say much. Her emotions spoke loudly enough for me to understand.
As a surprise for her, I offered to weld the pieces I had cut off into a ring so she could keep every piece without having to throw anything away. The ring happened to be the perfect size for the finger she wanted to wear it on.
She cried multiple times but left very happy and pleased. She told me that she and her daughter had talked about getting the bracelets fixed but never had the chance to do so. Now she continues to wear those bracelets and carry the memory of her daughter without fear of losing them.
